For the alternator belt, what do you guys run? Are the OEM accessory belts sufficient for extended track duty?

As mentioned earlier, if not otherwise mentioned, it's stock.

Keep in mind, this car wasn't built for "extended track duty". Better to ask what we use on the race cars. In which case the answer is the same for the belts. I prefer Gates.

Cool

Not the right forum but... I'd love love love for you guys to release a PNP N/A solution for +30 or so hp.

Bolt ons are great but the real secret sauce is the ECU... so... a PNP ECU for a known config of parts would be awesome. No having to find a local shop and pay lots of money for unknown quality of skill and get left with and idle problems and ac problems (talking out of *** now...).

Just my thoughts.

Hardware is what makes power. You still have to tune it. We will never offer pre-tuned or remotely tuned anything. This is what you need. Just find a local tuner.

I've always wondered how companies like Cobb do it...I've seen a wild spread in spark numbers from identical engine to identical engine.

I wish the BMW e36 scene would understand this. They all seem to think a $600 remote basemap is "tuned".

Hopefully with my new job lined up, I'm going to be joining the OBD1 145whp club.

I have the EUDM intake, now to get everything else...

Default 5.7 second 0-60

Using the Trackmaster app on my Android on the way in to the shop this morning I recorded 0-62.6mph in 5.86s. Figure about 5.7s for 0-60. First try on cold tires so I'm guessing that would come down to 5.5s or so with some practice.

Much quicker than I expected for only 147whp.

Obviously on a closed course with a professional driver.

You are really making me want to do this in my 94, even though I already have a low mileage motor with a 2554 attached and ready to drop in. It is enticing seeing how simplistic the formula is.

Default 147whp

Forgot to post the dyno a few weeks ago. Dyno's WBo2 was not used. Actual was around 12.9 according to LC-1 in car.

I've had the pleasure of driving this car, and it is hands down the best Miata I've ever driven. This is the epitome of what i think a Miata should feel and drive like. Weirdly enough, my only complaint wouldn't be the cars fault, but i am only 5'7" and i feel like a little kid sitting it. With two cushions i still have to reach out to get it into third. LOL. Goes to show how much room can be found in a Miata.

<3 this car sooo much. Some day! :-)

I like to see your timing map. Is there any change you can send that adaptronic .ecu file to me?

I watched the guys flog this car over the weekend and yes, its fast. Its such a simple build when you stand there and look at the thing. I have a feeling this will be THE VVT formula everyone will try to duplicate in the future.

Good job guys, keep up the good work!

Are these square top intake manifolds a direct bolt on for a VVT motor? Does all the existing vacuum lines, etc. reattach like stock?

Pretty much yes, they should be a direct bolt on for BP4W or a BP6D head. Square top lacks VTCS or VICS hardware, so no place to plug that in, but that's about it.
