99 engine in 97
Ok, I've searched and searched and couldn't find a definitive answer. Maybe I'm not using the correct keywords but here goes nothing.
Are the 97 and the 99 block practically the same? I know there are differences due to the Compression ratio change.
I have my eyes on a complete 99 engine. My plans would be to fully re-build the 99 then swap out the original 97 motor. Are things going to line up? FYI I'm not worried about the ecu. I have that under control.
