I ordered a ACT streetlight flywheel for my 94 a few months back and I pulled the car apart this weekend to install it plus an extreme clutch kit. After pulling the tranny I opened up the flywheel package and the damn thing has no dowel pins. On a sunday night there is not much you can do about that.

Anybody else seen something like this? I'll call them tomorrow and see what the hell is up.

Are those the little things that stick out to put the pressure plate on?

 

That is strange.

 

Just as a follow up, I contacted ACT and they shipped me out new dowel pins. I pressed them in and installed the flywheel. All is well. I also went with some flywheel bolts from ARP. They didn't have a Miata specific flywheel bolt kit, but had a honda kit that worked just fine.

 

there are miata specific flywheel bolts, they are for BP engines in general
