Before it gets too cold and the miatas go away, is there any interest in a tech day? I'll host. Access to lift, tools, air, etc. Maybe we can do some oil changes, brakes, and other junx. Basically, the type of stuff that's tough to do on jack stands, but will be incredibly simplified with the car in the air.
Shop is in Lawrenceville, appx 30 minutes NE of Atlanta up I-85.
How's Nov 10 or 11?

Either of those days work. The weekend before that is out, as is the weekend after that. So pretty much either of those days, or I won't be able to make it most likely.
I have a couple little things, but would be more than willing to help out on others' cars as well.
BTW: it's a nice shop, and you'd all be stupid not to take him up on this. The press, grinder, air tools, lifts, etc. have come in handy more than once

Yeah Rob, feel free to drop that beast off. Just don't expect to get it back whole.
Chad, if your diff swap goes like mine, it shouldn't be hard, but really aren't you up in Knoxville? I think you'd spend more time driving than you would wrenchin if you did it yourself.
Whaaam, the install is easy enough. See if you can get some dyno time with Jerry on the 10th. Drive back tuned.

That's my problem, I already have lots pieces that need to be installed. Like my lsd that's now been in my possession for over a year.
Yep, diff swap is easy quick IF the hub nuts come loose.

Your motor is still stock right? Which MS do you have?
CJ, I guess come if you want, I'd think it would be a really easy job on your car, as new as it is. But like I said, I'm not sure that it's worth 4.5 hours each way.

Ben, its a stock 94 1.8 and the MS is built by Scott and preloaded with the 94 base map, the MS came with IAT and harness for ECU, so it should be PnP i hope
i just need to wire up the AEM WB and IAT...

I don't have anything big right now...nothing that really NEEDS a lift, but why not? Fuel filter, front sway bar, maybe fix my two stage fan setup (DMM work), maybe some tuning...if I get adventurous maybe I'll plug in EBC
You're right about it being 4.5 hours each way. I'm not sure i can make it either. I just don't like the idea of doing it on jackstands in front of my apartment. Then again I might know someone local with a lift willing to let me use it. Guess im out for now, would be nice to come help everbody out though. We'll see, i might still make it.

I don't want you to think you're unwelcome or anything (if I came off like that). If you want to come down, we'll do it. If not, you can get it done where you live in less time than it would take to drive back & forth, though it will be harder. Your call.

BTW, if ya'll are interested, it might be a good opportunity to get in on an Amsoil delivery from Rick. Since we'd all be in one place, so the shipping would be common and cheap when divided. Up to you guys.
I'm confused...you were planning on installing and then dyno tuning Saturday? We can get you going with a nice street tune no problem, if that's what's stopping you.
i was under the impression that i have to to get it right, i was gonna auto-x the next day and thought i need a good tune to be able to push the car...
is that not so? the MS has the PnP map from DIYautotune loaded on it, and i started the car right up after installing the MS, i just thought that i had to get it tuned properly before i could drive it hard...i dont know MS well at all, so i need all the help i can get
