I have replaced my bulbs with LED's as well. They work fine with the dimmer. In my opinion the stock NB red lighting is not bright enough, which is why I replaced them. The new LED's are still not as bright as I would like but they are better.

Get some clear acetate sheet to fit under the gauge face and experiment with laser printing half-tones in those hot spots.

I have thought about it Barby, but its not that noticeable on the street. The camera tends to exaggerate brightness under low light conditions. I think it has to do with the ISO setting, but I don't really know how to mess with that ----.

^ Yup. Your eyes have a much harder time picking out the bright spots when you're looking at your gauges. The camera makes them easy to pick out.

For those thinking of sanding the green off your stock gauges: don't. The high-powered LED option is much better.

I ended up using the WLED-x5 (194s) in cool white from superbrightleds.com:



They are plenty bright; I have the dimmer set around the 1/2 way point when I'm driving (it was cranked it up to full for the pic). Anything brighter I feel would just be overkill and blinding.

Gauges are custom and were made by Rev.
