I am seeing 55 cold, 10 hot.
I am running an 03 with an aftermarket sensor in the stock location. BE OPGs.
You?

With a completely cold engine, I peg the stock oil pressure gauge with anything over 2000rpm. At operating temperature (160*), I see 30psi in 5th, which is about 3500rpm. I THINK. You have major problems if you're seeing 10psi at anytime beyond a 100rpm idle.
I'm probably about 12psi hot idle, 65psi cold idle per stock gauge. I can also peg the stock gauge/relief valve on a cold engine at anything above an idle. Hot, and high RPM, I probably hit 55/60 PSI.
Dont the 95/later idiot OPGs switch from "off" to "on" at 8psi?
Probably has a lot to do with Teeing a 4AN feed line directly from the sensor port.

On three different engines I've had 10-12psi at idle when hot (according to an autometer electric gauge), one of which was completely rebuilt with a new oil pump. Built engine ran Rotella T, other 2 were 10w30.

I have an aftermarket PLX sensor right where the factory one used to be. The gauge is digital, so the readout is accurate but I'm not sure if the readings themselves are correct.
Where would be a good (and easy) place to measure oil pressure elsewhere- with a handheld gauge?
If you could please note where you guys are taking it from and if there are any T's on the line.
I see warm cruise around 40... idle as low as 15 hot.
Location: T'ed at stock location with OEM gauge and turbo feed. AN line brings with sensor mounted on firewall.

So I retro'd the 1.6 gauge and sender into my car, so the needle might be off....
Peg the gauge when cold....
Just over, just under 60psi mark when hot @ 4K rpm
Idle is normally around 30psi... with the really hot temps, it's been just under in stop and go @ idle....
