so, any details on why water comes out the front and rear of the head? Will we get the option for a rear-only route...or has someone who's smarter than me designed it this way for a reason?

The HE-X is running an aux waterpump and has extra head taps. Most of the stuff we're seeing here isn't really applicable to the average 250whp turbo build. I view most of what we see here as an excersize in theory, engineering, and fun. Maybe one day, some of it will trickle down.

I get to be one of the first to drive the car. We may need to run it up a few road barriers to see if it can fly too. (LB knows what I mean.

I think we all now know what ya mean. The mystery of the 4 simultaneously bent rims is solved.
And cracked another...
And popped a shock tower mount...
And (most importantly) walked away from the mess with not much more than a bruised ego.
Actually I'm still waiting to see the final build list on the repair.
Thankfully, Corky is a *very* understanding man.
(Steph however keeps *trying* to get my goat...)

I only bent one rim.

Glad you're OK.
We're tracking down a powersteering issue, but should have the car to the dyno in short order for an initial shake-down (refamiliarization) period.
Then the boost will be raised and the remaining pieces will be installed to make the car "race ready".

I saw this setup in person when I visited BeGI the other day. The fabrication is beautiful, very nice work. Nice welds, clean sheet metal work, etc. etc. The pictures do not do it justice.
To prove we can do everything we want to with the car while keeping the A/C, emmissions and powersteering.
Once we've met our goals, I might remove them, however at that point, I'm not sure it would really matter...

PS - Current prediction is a visit to the dyno on Tues while Stephanie is off skiing. This will eliminate her temptation to ensure the numbers don't beat her car...
