I was amazed to read that in a thread over on m.net. Corky advises to make your own ducting to the radiator to keep things cool up in there.

i guess i wasn't amazed, but it says to me that he is a genuine gearhead with his best interest in helping people first and making every last buck second. I mean, you would very unlikely (for example) see a turbo vendor advising used journal bearing turbos from ebay over the latest and greatest super expensive bb turbo to a crowd like us right?

exactly what I'm thinking of doing.
I have a template for the Trackdog racing air-splitter. I plan on extended it past the radiator for a complete flat underbelly. Then cut a hole and attach a small scooper for the radiator only.

The under skirt is roughly 48 inches from it's top mounting point, across the bottom and up the other side. Stock it's pretty much exactly 24 inches deep.
\____/ = 48 inches. It's pretty much 28 inches across just the bottom section then ten inches up each side. I've been thinking about making a tray as to where I can detach the bottom without messing with the sides, because it was always annoying to get it off around the sway bar etc. Plus then I don't have to try and find a sheet more than 2' x 4'.

that's what i thought. I have a link for a supplier of enough abs.
i want abs instead of alumin for durability purposes...I'd rather it flex and scratch instead of bend and break.
I haven't decided if I'll do a two piece design as well; the typical splitter and then the flat undertray that will attach to the splitter all the way back to the k-member
btw, tom i got the package yesterday thanks!

Yeah I like the Brainiac style one - there's a lot of ways to do this but fyi their (Bells) scooper does not touch the ground on hard braking - only some of the biggger speed bumps ;-) of course my car isn't lowered but it does already have the lip below the bumper (due to being an SE model) but the scooper works fine with this. I like Bell's general idea with this but would be cool to make it wider (all the way across on front lip and get smaller as it dumps to the radiator area).
