^Did I do OK at dissecting your entire post this time? I'll try to be more thorough from now on. And in case you're a visual learner... try this:

My bad, '99... makes little difference.

From that dyno plot, the blue lines are an '01 and the red ones are a '99. The '01 makes a pinch more power betwee 4500 and 5500 from the VVT, but it's not significant.

And as for the PO's mods... I'm sure he didn't accidentally forget to tell you about some "secret" part on the car... like a hidden auto-sensing 25shot NOS system that only activates when it thinks it's on a dyno.

Come on man... can we end this thing?

Sorry Redrum, your reputation is made here, and you'll never fully recover from how big a douchebag this thread makes you look. You might as well head over to cr.net and join that crowd. I guarantee you'll be welcomed with open arms.

So how about some of us chip in a couple dollars and send him over to dynolab before waving the banstick?

I'd like to see what the "magic engine" is really making and I'd like to see his 136whp dyno plot.

My guess is that he's making 115whp tops.

I've seen '99 miatas make 124whp with minor bolt-ons, on a dynojet, and i thought that was too high. I was present at the dyno run.

So when are you going to a real dyno to shut us all up and prove you're right?

as soon as i get a chance. not exactly the easiest thing to do when you have school all day, but i am more than willing to go to a dyno and be proven wrong-or-right

C'mon man, admit it: your setup making 136 RWHP @ 8000 RPM is as feasible as cold fusion.

You'd make an excellent defense attorney though.

I'll pay for your re-dyno, provided I get double my money back if you don't make 136whp with peak power at 8000rpm.
