Default Ebay injectors

I ran across these this morning.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

And asked the guy how what looks exactly like stock 203cc injectors are now flowing 550cc. The reply is "Venom buys there cores from Denso and then changes the pintails in them to flow at 550cc.
Then they are flow matched to with in 1.5%
Thanks"

Does this sound possible at all?

Sounds like a load of crap to me.

I've heard ALOT of horror stories about Venom's injectors. Supposedly they're not flow matched very well and they dont flow anywhere near what they say they should. If you buy them i would highly reccomend sending them off to make sure they are flowing what they should be. I think it's an RX-7 forum and a supra forum that have LOOOOONG threads about how much venom sucks, and i think there is a ink here somewhere to the threads.

Four modified injectors from a vendor of questionable repute: $275.

Four used RX-7 injectors, plus cleaning & flowtesting by WitchHunter: $150 to $200.

I'm not looking to buy from that guy, I ran across it while looking for rx7 injectors, just found it odd.

If I'm gonna spend that much I'll go ahead and just buy new shiney RC's.

I wonder how many people actually try out the injectors before leaving a feedback.

I've run both 460cc RX7 injectors and now RC550cc. I like the RC injectors, the idle quality is better and will idle very well at 14.5-15 AFR. The RX7 injectors liked to idle closer to 13. This COULD be a function of the link, as there is tweaking to get either injector to work since it isn't default. FM was more vague about the settings on the RX7 injectors, but spot on with the RC injectors.

If I had to do it again, I'd fork over the $400 for RC injectors, and not bother with 20 year old RX7 injectors. Maybe if I were running a MS or other ECU I might have a different opinion.

^ If thats true, I feel like a dick for passing up the opportunity to buy some 550cc RC injectors for 150 bucks from a noob that didnt know what he had back in the day. Although with hi res its much easier to idle the 460s at 14:1 - 14.7:1.
