Has anyone here purchased a fel pro head gasket set hs9717-pt3 care to comment on the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets? I'm looking at a set online and can't get a good confirmation if they are metal or graphite material. I don't plan on using the head gasket and piecing individual oem pieces gets expensive. I will use everything easy in the kit besides the head gasket. Any input would be highly appreciated.

 

The intake gasket is a single sheet steel gasket. The exhaust is an MLS style, as is the head gasket itself. The only graphite gaskets I remember were the thermostat gasket and the throttle body one.

 

Thank you for the input. Seems like the fel pro is a good choice to go then. Did you have any issues with either fitment?

 

Not a single one. I never installed the injector o-rings, egr valve gasket or the header to downpipe gasket, mainly because I didn't see a reason to, but everything else fit beautifully.
