Default Fire!!!

Ok well I finally got he car tuned perfectly today and left to the exhaust shop to get the midpipe welded up.

This is when everything went bad.

I was cruising down the freeway when A small puff of smoke came out from the hood. Then a Lexus flew by me with the horn honking. Thats when TONS of smoke began to billow out from under the car as I pulled over. I went to downshift but there was no clutch...went to brake....no brakes. I pulled over using my ebrake. The Lexus pulled over along with a Fed Ex truck. I popped the hood with my fire extinguishers in hand. The hole underneath was in flames. We managed to put it out with the two fire extinguishers. Thats when two fire trucks, police and DOT trucks pulled up and blocked off the freeway. They doused my bay with water. Luckily they didnt spray any in my car.

So it fried my Innovative, oil line, brake and clutch cylinder, ignition wires, NB, and a few odds and end pieces like a couple hoses or a cap.

My question for you guys is what would be a cool thing to do since my car is now down for awhile. Should I pull the motor and rebuild? Cool upgrades that are rare? Just looking for ideas.

You could paint some "flames" on it when it's all said and done. I would if I had a story to tell like that. To answer your questions, how much time and money do you want to spend? If you have plenty of time, I would do a engine swap. I think it would be neat to put the 2.5 millenia V6 in there running on MS. It could still be a DD and all, but would have more power AND more potential.

you need to figure out what started the fire, and why. and make sure it's fixed.
you also need to take pics and share with the group so we can share your pain. and also poke and laugh at you.

sorry about that man. really sucks, and hurts to hear.

HAHA yup it was me. I was kinda hoping to make the news. But as long as you saw me that will do. Its hard to tell what happened. But it looks as though something happened with the oil feed line. And since i was running open downpipe and little rich flames were coming out once in awhile...bad mix.

lighten your crankshaft, get kick-a cams, adjustable cam gears, wiseco pistons, H-pillar rods, up the displacement, and COP'S (because they sound really cool), how's that list?

im honestly not sure yet. Like i said it lookes like a split in the oil line...but hats a big maybe everything on the left side of the car is melted. And what are kick-a cams?

I already know im stripping everything and cleaning it. Then replaces everything. But since the car is down I want to take advantage of this time to really build a reliable and very powerful car. But I would like to use stuff or put other things on that are different or unique.

He has 4 IRTB's. he fashoned an itake manifold to the inlet of all 4, so he could mount the bov on the intake manifold.
