It would be nice to find a way to ship them hear cheaply one or more at a time.

Default 3.63 cwp from down under

Guys, I just went through this last fall. I watched the mx5cartalk forum and a guy had a total 3.63 diff he was offering up at $300aus. I emailed and told him I would do the $300aus for just the ring/pinion shipped to the usa. He agreed and also said he had the speedo sending unit he could include for $50aus. He shipped the stuff DHL and I had it in a week. My total out of pocket was about $290usd.

It worked out for me, maybe I was just lucky finding a guy that would go through the trouble of shipping to the US.

Shipping one is kinda reasonable, shipping 10+ for a group buy becomes another story. At the end of the day it does not really matter as neither Dann or I are trying to do this now. If you want to source your own from there or Europe feel free to.
