Default Gauging interest in 3.63 gears

After speaking with Dan, I have volunteered to receive these gears and then ship them out to people interested in them. So once we figure out what the interest is Dan can get a price. Maybe he can chime in and fill everyone in on what would be needed.

Thanks,
Ryan

Need a price for shipping, which will be good due to sending half a dozen sets of gears at a time, but looking at 300 a set.

They are from 626's so are older than NA or NB gears, but are identical in design, and I have already confirmed perfect fitment with a trial install

Are these plug in play into a standard 94-04 housing? As in, do I need to set lash, or anything else when installing, or can I do this in my garage with a BFH and some RTV?

I'd be interested if we are talking sub $500 range after shipping and whatnot.

Yes, you will have to set backlash. It is the ring and pinion gear. So it will have to be installed into a carrier.

Def will be sub 500. Yep drop in to 1.8 housings.

They will need to be set, might have to take it to a diff shop and have them spend 10 mins setting lash if you aren't familiar with the process.

To be clear. you WILL have to verify backlash, pinion depth and pinion bearing preload(which WILL require a new crush sleeve) at a MINIMUM.

It would suck to get in on this and junk the gears after not having them properly set up. If you have to ask if this even needs to be done, it's not a job you can do.

Prefer 3.3, but interested.

Can you source the speedo gear too?

Could I get (do they make) a 3.3? I am seriously considering a 8.8 swap to get a ratio like that!
