Default Godspeed rad, fan selection

I just purchased these 10" universal fans for the godspeed rad. Will these bolt right on or will i have to make some adjustment. Or should have i got the 12" ones

woooooooow, you have more shopping to do, i do not recommend those a bit
keep searching, try to find the ones with the curved blades, 10" is enough since you are running two, and you can find them at $30 ea. so they are even cheaper
good luck

You might want to make a fan shroud if you decide on that style of fans.

you can make it out of whatever if you dont like lexan
just make sure you seal it around the edges
then just cut holes the size of the fans and bolt the fans to your shroud

oem fans might not fit...besides slim fans take much less space so more room to work too

I don't get it - my 96 with AC/PS had plenty of room for the fans.

they are good enough, but they are also massive
if you got a thick radiator, like the GS one, they can fit, but its a tight squeeze, these give you more room and give you a great excuse to build a shroud...

thats why i got the slim ones, so you think the 10" ones are good, i already purchased them so i really cant return them, but i will attempt a fan shroud

its all in the shroud and CFMs. one 1600CFM fan would be enough.

What are the dimensions of that piece? I need a rough estimate so I can order an adequately sized piece. Thanks.

you can pick one up at home depot for like $7 i believe
width wise it is the same size as the radiator, height is taller so i had to cut it a dremell
sorry, no actual measurements, i do not have a tape measurer on hand

Would a 4000 CFM fan be overkill? Was thinking perhaps a pair of these, http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...61386_-1_10117.

The 50A draw might be somewhat significant.

yea i looked at those, just not sure how well i could make my own shroud for them or how good of a product it is. i'd hate to go cheap now and regret it later.
