Oh ****, I'm laughing so hard I can barely breathe right now. Props to BenR and patsmx5 for the excellent links.

Ok, seriously though. Nissan guy, here is everything you need to know about hardtops: They aren't being made (by Mazda) any longer.

Rosenthal Mazda appears to have a supply of what are probably the last ones in existence for sale at $1,795, unpainted, and they're the NB version so the hardware will have to be changed.

There have also been some attempts at making aftermarket versions over the years. Quality has varied, and they're all pretty scarce. I think maybe there's one company doing a carbon-fiber version still.

There is a thriving secondary market for OEM hard tops- you'll almost never see one in a junkyard. eBay, the classifieds here and at M.net and CR.net, and Miata clubs are your best resources here. Depending upon condition, they typically seem to go for $800-$1,200.

In all seriousness, post a WTB in craigslist. I expect you'll have one for under $600 within two weeks.

Man, you make it hard for newbs like me...

Please search, hardtops are one of the biggest topics on any miata forum. Craigslist it if you want one cheap, Axis if you want one expensive!

But seriously, 2 retarded threads back to back...

I used craigshelper.com to search a bunch of craigslist markets.

Bashing the truly useless newbs shouldn't make it hard on you Erotomania. It's just a lesson learned at someone else's expense! Just ask yourself before you post a question, did you put any effort into finding an answer yourself? If not, stop and search. It'll save you from the bashing 350 deserved.

Revel in the ignorance of others.

Since his other thread today got locked, I suppose he's been given at least one helpful PM from a moderator on conduct?

I would be happy to also PM him on forum conduct... just say the word.
