(HelpThread) WTF is going on (Squirting near alternator)
Soo.. I just came home from work and after parking i noticed that there was some fog being produced from below the headlights which is not normal and usually a sign of something burning or running too hot
I panicked at the sign of my car squirting out some type of liquid near the alternator and quickly grabbed my camera after it started to settle a bit and i was able to collect my thoughts..
Anyone have any idea what could cause this? (Steering rack also went bad this week with a replacement on the way not sure if this is related)
Here's the videos - There was a lot more fluid coming out at first. couldn't really see the other side because of the darkness will most likely take another look in the morning.

Check the little coolant hose that goes to the throttle body from the oil warmer. Maybe it dry rotted or got eroded by something rubbing and is dumping on top of your alt. Looks like coolant steam to me. check coolant.
Liquid is green like antifreeze and it is still leaking.. i think i made a big mistake of driving to work today.. but luckily its about 50 Degree's outside still no signs of overheating - i'm going to drop it off at my mechanic during my lunch break.
Definitely sounds like something coolant related thanks will be looking into it.

I've had the nipple on the throttle body for that hose pop out bunch of times. Ended up making a burr in the throttle body with a punch to get it to stay in place when I pressed it back in.
I had a similar problem. The hose coming from the back of the head to the oil cooler (under the throttle body) had cracks and would spray antifreeze steam everywhere. The hose is hard to reach. There are two ends on top of the oil filter. This may be why it looks like it is coming from the alternator. It sucked horribly trying to replace it. If for some reason you have to do it yourself, take off the passenger wheel first.
