I wonder if it makes more sense to acquire a clean short block. I can take out my current engine in stages - first the head and then the block. Then I drop a good block in, and go from there. I just can't get an engine lift set up on the street in front of my building, my neighbors will **** live kittens.

 

Sorry, I've put the crack pipe down now. Without a garage space, I'm now looking for a shop in Chicagoland that will swap in a motor for me. Unless someone has a garage I can use. I put in this motor myself and could do another swap in a weekend if I just had the space.
