What a Supercharged 1.8 miata sounds like with... No exhaust!
Friend wanted to do some exhaust upgrades, but had to hear the car run with an open longtube header. Wish I had a higher quality camera, the sound was actually pretty freaking sweet. Idle isn't too loud, cruise is pretty freaking loud, and WOT is UNBELIEVABLE!!! His car burns a lot of oil and the interior was quickly filling up with blue smoke so we were choking and coughing on that. Everything inside the car was vibrating something wicked.
Anytime he ever gets some brilliant idea in his head, we're bound to get busted by the police. Some point in the video it goes to still frame and a police officer is circled. Thanks to some traffic he didn't see us go around the clover and we managed to get away. Saw him at the next intersection with his lights on busting a bitch looking for us while we're driving the other direction out of sight.
The one with retarded laugh is him.. I'm the other tarded sounding one.

Was in such a hurry to upload the video I forgot to include the flyby at the end:
Yeah, everyone that lives around me hates my guts.
Well if you notice right before the camera went down the three cars stopped at the top of the ramp... The driver was just cursing a lot trying to get the people to freaking go so we could get out of dodge.
I do love that freaking cop passes by the exact time he hits full throttle after the dude in the Protege moved over.

Damn that car looked pretty quick, nice flyby haha
Sounds insane btw, much louder than a turbo car. Ive run an open downpipe and you can really tell how much the turbo muffles it.

is not sad. exhausts can get annoying very quick. last time i was on the track i was described as a "silent phantom." As i passed cars, they couldn't hear me coming or my engine as i passed them

I'm still debating with myself oh exhaust. I do love a good quiet sleeper, but louder isn't always a bad thing. The car is by no means a daily driver, however the exhaust on it right now gets annoying sometimes.
Also slightly worried I might make the buy for loud and it ends up being way too loud or sounding like crap. Kinda thinking about 3" dp, no cat for now but will get high flow later, then an Enthuza 3" w/resonator and no muffler. Still not sure.

the muffler is not a restriction, so might as well add it and be happy with it. I love my 3" with magnaflow, while i do prefer a less obvious exhaust, it's within reason.
Yeah, i ran open dp for a couple days and now i am running stock exhaust until i can get it to a muffler shop to get a 3" made. I love how the car sounds with quiet exhaust its actually comfortable to drive. The car wasn't worth driving open DP.

Have yet to hear in person what the 3" resonated without muffler would sound like.. From what you all are saying, might as well just be safe and just use one.
Is the Enthuza Turbo Racer 3" system pretty loud?
