I need a house... (theft)

Buy a cheep baby monitor and turn it on every night. Sleep with it by your pillow. For just a bit more you can get a video monitor, sure it doesn't record but you can see if its someone parking next to you or someone about to get their face smashed in...It's not a solution but could help. I wait for the day I catch someone breaking into anyones car..
Be aware that thieves are watching you and your car. They like to hang out at gas stations and stores to see what kind of presents your bringing home. Be aware of who's aware of you.

Sorry to hear this OP. That **** sucks, especially since they added insult by ripping your top AND smashing your window.
I had this happen at the local movie theater in my 94 Integra. They smashed the window and took a bag, that contained books. not school books or anything expensive. ordinary reading books. Anyways, I had an Ipod in the car, a stereo you could literally pull out of the dash by hand, and 2 complete top end snowboard setups in the hatch, $800.00 + in gear. They didnt touch any of that, haha.
They did smash my window to take books though, god damn it. I guess the bag they were in looked too much like a purse. It was one of these types of bags.

Sucks man. Always makes me think of the line form Pulp Fiction (Vincent Vega/John Travolta): "It'd be worth them doin' it, just to catch them doin' it."
FedEx dropped off 4 new Grabber AT 2s for my truck today "left at the front door." No tires to be found and one of my room mates was home. We had problems with some ******* taking mail (from the mailbox) and packages from the front door earlier this year. No break-ins, thankfully. Neighborhood isn't particularly bad but there are trailer parks scattered around a few blocks away.

Really sorry to hear this!
I definitely feel your pain, my hard top was stolen a month ago. Busted the passenger window and just unlatched it. Never touched a thing inside the car, just the top.
Finally bought a replacement top, now to buy a locking kit for it.
Thieves are the lowest forms of human life on the planet.

Just noticed today that the *** holes stole my tool bag from my trunk.
Included:
wheel lug socket (luckily a standard socket will fit with my wheels)
spare spark plugs
2 spare Toyota ignition coils
manual boost controller
ratcheting wrench set
line wrench set
socket set
spark plug socket
screw drivers
plyers & wire strippers
set of small picks
flashlight
etc. etc. etc.
FML. I hate thieves.
Of course... I have zero receipts for any of this stuff.

Had this happen at my old apartment. I used to leave the doors unlocked to help prevent damage to the car and top radios are cheap. They cut the top about 10 inches on each side and left it open along with the trunk. It rained that night so I got my radio and some small tools stolen, top ruined, and a soaking wet car in the morning. I hate thieves. If I catch one at my house now they will get no warning shot. I do live in an actual house in a nice area now but people still have things stolen. I did go out and buy a used hardtop about two weeks later and bolted it on. Car still does not have a soft top in it.

I have a house...someone broke into the garage two weekends ago. Took ALL my tools (8yrs of begging the wife at every birthday/xmas down the drain), our high end mountain bikes, and the lawnmower.
Mother *******.
Sorry to see your car got broken into, been there. But thieves will keep thievin'...til you shoot them in their theivin' face.

I think it added £15 to my premium.

Disconnect the trunk release cable that leads to the arm rest, that way your trunk can only be opened with the key. Leave the doors unlocked all the time, that's what I do. If someone really wants to steal your car, they don't care whether the door is locked or not, if they're locked they'll just break a window. You could also put a hidden fuel pump switch somewhere if you're that afraid of having the car started and driven away. Sounds like you just have some idiots trying to make a few bucks off of little things, not the whole car.
Good luck!

We need to catch up man. I'll give you a call sometime soon.
Thanks!! I chose it because I like it a bit more than the similar blue on the 10AE. It looks great wet.
