Default I struck it rich, sort of

I was looking on craigslist last week for Miata stuff and came across a set of 1.8 calipers for $60. I call the guy and he said he had a stuck caliper and he replaced all 4 of them as a precaution. I then asked if the brackets were still with them and he said yes. I asked for pics to verify and he sends them. In the pics I see the brackets, but he also added a new pair of rear caliper brackets and a set of 1.6 pads that he was mistakenly sent instead of 1.8 pads. So, he says for $80 SHIPPED he will send me all 4 calipers with brackets, the new rear brackets, new copper fittings with shims, and the new 1.6 pads. It made my day, week, and month. Looks like some good karma was on my side.

So does this mean you have an extra set of 1.8 rear brackets?
My friend is looking for a set (he has everything else to do the conversion)

good deal... but not as good deal as scoring my old starion IC for $20 from the junkyard

there's actually a 1.8L junker sitting in the local pick-n-pull right now. last i checked the front caliper/brackets were still on
