Default I'm dumb and can't search v.MY99 gearing

I have a 99 open diff, and a 99 trans. So I have the 4.30:1 r&p...identical to the gearing in the 91 drivetrain in terms of gear box and r&p, right?

Will the car be any faster (with FI) with the 4:30 r&p, or should I switch to the 4.10 or the 3.90? I know the msm kinda sucks at stock power because the gears feel too short.

Any tips on finding and or rebuilding an rx7 lsd?

i know you're in for a good deal of fabbing if you decide to go for the Rx7 diff. Tis my goal too for some day...

throw the RX7 LSD in it with the 3.909 gears.

what kinda coin does one of these bring, and which specific model of rx7 does this diff come from?

I would prefer longer gears on my '99 with boost, the car is fast with 4.3 rear but the gears are too short for my liking, especially when drifting, too much shifting

I think they're all the same, 5 and 6 speed are different.

i thought 99 and up came with 4.10 open or lsd...?....and 3.9 with the 6 speed ,and 3.6 with the australian 6 speed.

4.30 suck for boost.

m.net says a 4.30 in the garage section.

4.3 is the 1.6 gearing

the open NB rear is a 4.10
the 3.9 is what you want with boost IMO - you might lose .1-.2 in a quarter mile run but your cruise on hwy will be far more pleasant, and first gear will be longer and more useful.

You're looking for a clutch type lsd from the 2nd gen rx7, or the last two years of the first gen rx7 but it MUST be a large axle rear. Prices range anywhere from $25-$250. I got mine on ebay for $100 and it was in like new condition. Price was probably cheap because most don't realize the first gen large axle works.

Go to solomiata.com and select "RX7 LSD Interchange" from the pop up menu for a pdf. There's also another difinitive step by step linked on mnet somewhere.

Uh, no. 4.3 open or viscous for 90-93, 4.1 open or torsen for 94-97, 4.3 open or torsen for 99+, except the 6 speeds, which got a 3.9 here and a 3.6 in Australia, except the MSM which got a 6-speed and the 4.3. There was also some change in the middle of the NB production run that I don't remember.
