Default Installed motor in 99; get persistant p0106 code; sanity check?

P0106 is 'MAP sensor; Baro Sensor; Performance Problem'. A quick search says it's the EGR system; nobody I've found has fixed it by replacing the Boost/ Baro sensor.

I've checked all the vacuum line routing (which looks right), cleaned the inside of the plenum and throttle body (unlikely, but easy), and cleaned all the connectors for the EGR valve, boost solenoid and Baro sensor.

So, the sanity check: other than cleaning the EGR valve, and starting to replace stuff, what am I missing?

I pulled the vent cap/ filter off entirely as a test. It had no effect.
