Holy ****.....

My motor sounds BADASSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

I just started it for the first time, and the 260deg cams are pretty damn loppy, I can't stop laughing. I am gonna try to get a camera with a decent sound so you all can hear it.

For those of you that aren't familiar with the build......go **** yourselves :P
Seriously though, it has the following:

-MiataRoadster.com billet oil pump gears
-8.5:1 wiseco pistons
-Belfab (949Racing, take your pick...) Rods
-My own custom headwork (see results in braineacks dyno thread)
-Coated pistons, coated chambers, coated exhaust ports
-Custom ground cams from Integral cams, 263dur/9.8mm lift
-Shim under bucket solid lifter conversion
-Complete supertech valvetrain
and a bunch of other **** I'm sure I spent a fortune on...


Anyways, I also got a new job recently that pays like 3x what I'm currently making. For those also familiar with my inability to decide and keep what turbo I want to run will be happy to know that I will finally be able to afford to get the gt2871r or gt3071r that I really want!

Also, question....

Would a loppy idle cause the oil pressure gauge to wiggle very slightly, constantly? I hear no ping at all, I'm getting 13.3afr, and the motor runs great otherwise. Actually all the needles are vibrating a little.....ground maybe?

EDIT: I also have mmr mounts installed.

nice. i could see a lopey idle affecting oil pressure. you might need a vac can for your brake booster and other vac fed items.

 

Is that basically just an air tank in line to act as a reservoir?

 

Yes.
My dad's 442 had no brakes at idle after he put the custom cam in. The vac canister did the trick.

its just the motor mounts. i have the MMR ones too, and my tach alone jumps like 300rpm, and all of the other guages wiggle, just not as much
