Default Just thought I'd brag about this find

Picked this up for $75 on Wednesday, helps a lot with knee and head room.

The guy is 6'4" and used to race spec miatas, bought this and it was too high, so he ended up bolting an aluminum seat to the floor and not using this one. Three years later he finally decided to get a little cash out of it.

I see that you have that on the stock sliders, how tall are you and how much did it help? I did a foamectomy and hate how uncomfortable my seat is now.

$75 is an amazing deal. They're now $360, and back when this one was bought (older design) they were at best $265.

I'm 5'10" with shoes on, 185lbs if it matters. The main benefit I can see is that your legs don't angle up as much, instead they go straight forward to the pedals, giving much more room under the steering wheel and steering column. Probably about an inch, maybe more? Its hard to estimate, because there really wasn't much room at all to begin with, now its plenty of room. I was coming from stock seats with the rear pad removed.

The guy left the damn ad up for several days after you got it! Guess he enjoyed answering all those calls. I told you one would come along at the right price. Even better deal than the one I got. Nice job.

They are great seats, just no good for racing. Thanks for your input though.

very nice. i'm trying to find a good seat for my car too, and the Start keeps coming up on my short list.

can you do me a favor? measure between the seat cushion and the bottom of the harness slots and let me know the measurement. I'm not a really tall guy, but I'm all torso. I just want to make sure I wouldn't be covering the slots with my shoulders.

I really can't believe I found it, I had been bitching at Cueball cause he found a seat for $100. I searched for a the next few weeks waiting for an amazing deal to pop up. I had all but given up when I saw this guy's post two hours after he put it up on craigslist. Sounded too good to be true. I emailed him that night anyways and had a response by morning. Thank god for my iPhone cause I emailed him at work (where I don't have access to a computer) a few times and we ended up meeting a mile or two from where I work that afternoon.

24"

I saw your Corbeau seats Braineack, sorry they didn't work out. Are Starts on the menu?

The other nice thing I should of mentioned is the weight, I'm fairly certain the Momo with the rails bolted on is still lighter than the stock seat without rails.

The seat does fit very nicely. I have striped my interior, no carpet or center console, but the stock door cards remain, I've only taken off the arm rests, but I think they'd still fit with this seat. Its usually the part by your shoulder that sticks out and causes interference issues with doors and roll bars.

My next project is going to suck though, removing the roll bar (all 12 difficult to reach bolts) so I can take out the driver side seat belt, weights way too much.

yeah, you're one lucky son of a gun. I've been hunting for a good deal on a seat for a while.

and thanks for the measurement. That may work for me.
