wow looks like Savington has a thing for those barn doors

They should have measured the hoods with those puppies up, i bet ya it would have been VERY different

Haha. It's common to envy the better chassis. The rollbar is in now. Thanks.

That's the GV lid I've wanted all along. Why the hell hasn't someone knocked this off yet?!?

When a car is track only like Savington's the barn doors are useless. The lamps, motors and hardware is all dead weight to get rid of.

Looking at that write up at V8 roadster the guy did a good job with research. As he ended up doing, simply installing louvers at the lower pressure area like Aston and Jag is effective.

V8 roaster guy

I park outside, and the rain wouldnt really bother me, their shouldnt be anything in there prone to rusting

there are spark plug boots that can get wet and prevent your car from running...

Unless it is sealed to the engine intake it is worse than useless because it is probably increasing the pressure under the hood.

Sorry I have been away for a little from this. I just got married and things have been crazy with getting everything planned and then having to go out of town for business right afterward.

I have made some good progress on the hood, but it will still be a few weeks as things at work have picked up a little. I will post up some pictures this next week of what we get done. The scoop is in place, but now we just have to put the putty all around it to make it look good.

Congrats on getting married.

Looking forward to pics. By scoop u mean scoop (wrx/mini/speed3) or extractor (evo)?

extractor. It will be a lot like the carbontrix extractor vent posted earlier and placed directly behind the radiator.

Sweet!!

Going on Sav's advice, I'm actually thinking you should make the master mold without headlight covers cut, but leave the lines in there. Offer for an extra 20$ or something to "finish" cut the headlight covers out for us with popups.

Actually considering an alternative solution and leaving the headlight covers ON the hood I order...

Bump, reaffirming my commitment to buy one if you make it with the headlight covers molded in and a GarageHundred-style vent.
