Default A little gift for my miataturbo.net friends

So I got bored tonite and made an automated craigslist miata-searcher

basically what you do is take this link here:
http://www.futrtech.com/cgi-bin/start.exe/apps/jesstest/cl/test.html?cl_cities=Columbia,Charlotte,Charleston

and replace the cities at the end, after the "=", separated with commas. As many cities as you like but of course more cities will take more time. One city is fine too, just leave out the comma.

Save the URL as a bookmark and quickly scour teh interwebs for miata-related craigslist ads with no clicking.

lemme know if you have any problems with it

here's an example in action:
http://www.futrtech.com/cgi-bin/star...tte,Charleston

EDIT: FYI - the title of this thread was intentionally gay sounding...on purpose...

I like it! Better than clicking through Craig's Helper. Thanks!

i like it better than crazedlist, as long as you can provide a list of all the cities that you can click and automatically create a search string.

yeah thats pretty coo, basically the same thing except it's got an actual front-end. I built mine to be dummy proof and as simple as possible.

I kept the miata search string hard coded in the prog so it wouldnt leak out and get used by a bunch of people. Would kill our bandwidth and web server.

Nice for a quick and dirty search. Crazedlist helped me when I was searching for a Miata, but there are some obvious improvements that should be implemented, like suppressing areas with no results.

It worked for Nashville but showed no results for knoxville and memphis which do have results when searched for "miata" from craigslist directly.
Is there a fix for that?

Edit: Just realized that i had spaces between the , and the city names. I'm a :newb:

Can't get Bowling Green KY to work though, any tips on that. I've tried Bowling Green, bowlinggreen, bgky etc and none of them work. The craigslist link itself is bgky but that doesn't work.
