Default Little Mia Stranded Me!

So heading back home on a 400 mile journey today

About 170 miles in (in the middle of bum **** egypt) it decides that the tach will go wonky and car starts sputtering and misfiring.

I decide its not worth it to risk any real damage and pull off thankfully near a beautiful stealership.

They couldnt take a look at the car today, but no doubt they'll tell me I owe them 189,995$ tomorrow.

I'm hoping its something stupid like a bad ground or spark wire or something...

170 miles going from FSU to South FL most likely puts you somewhere a little south of the awesome mecca that is the gator nation.

Good luck getting it worked out man.

I ******* hate getting stranded by cars. I want a shitbox truck to pull my miata because I'm afraid to drive either of them anywhere.

I was definitely considering it. I also want something I can beat on and maybe do some rallyx with.

Not 200 miles from home and without tools or a hint.

I am not a professional or amateur mechanic and learn what I can when I can. Limited to basic ****, id est spark plugs, oil changes and that whole bit.

Its been 1 problem after the other trying to get my car ready to turbo. Soon i'll tackle this. They say car modifying isnt for the faint of heart or financially unstable. Very true, especially if you aren't mechanically inclined as such.

I'm thinking it may be related to the new motor, something along the lines of a bad ground.

The car stranded you because it was embarrassed. You should be kicked in the ***** 2X for calling your car "Little Mia".

It was used as a derogatory term. Little mia is a ----.

At least it was not Live Oak, population 6,828. That place is like the twilight zone. I broke down there once, and now refuse to stop for gas in that **** hole.

My car just did the same thing Sunday. If it is the ignitor, cool. If it is the cas, YOU BETTER CALL THEM. Autozone was $330 2yr/wr, Oreily's was $478, racing pages $500, If they buy OEM factory. WHHHHHHHEWWWWWW!

I am going to keep a extra cas and wrench in my car! It is one bolt that you take loose to install it. The ignitor is 2 nuts taken off with a nut driver. Don't let them screw you on labor.

Okay so heres the new problem,

They call this morning, "Um we drove the car its driving fine."

It appears it only starts to **** up after a long time on the highway and fixes itself in the morning. God.. Anyone have anymore ideas? I had mildly similar symptoms a while back on the tail end of a 400 mile trip (like literally the last half mile of the trip), but it was very light and went away the next day. Attack of the phantom symptoms.
