The fact the RZ bar fits and keeps the soft top function is very seriously tempting me to sell the BRZ and get the new Miata. Will the RZ bar be able to have a harness bar? (Sorry if I missed that). Having to run a hardtop for 5-points = no real reason to ditch the BRZ.

Copying my intro post about the RZ from M.net along a couple of pics I have not posted here -

The RZ name stands for Road / Z-fold and it is our street driven with occasional track day roll bar.
For our hard core track rats customers we will have our GT3 roll bar available shortly as well.

Key features of the RZ roll bar -
* Allows full use of the factory soft top which can be lowered from the driver's seat.
* SCCA Legal. Not kinda legal, not almost legal, not "hopefully you can sneak it by tech" legal. 100% SCCA LEGAL.
* 2" taller than OEM hoop structure.
* DOM Steel construction with full X brace and a harness bar as standard.
* Factory seat travel and recline retained in full.
* Allows all plastic and carpet trim panels to be reinstalled (with minor trimming), glove box retained.
* Includes amp relocation bracket for cars with Bose sound system.
* High grade hardware kit included.
* High quality powder coat finish included, many custom colors available for just $80 additional fee.
* Weight gain of just ~26 Lbs. in comparison with the OEM hoop structure it replaces!

Priced at $1195 (plus tax / shipping) for the complete setup, as shown in the pics $1275 with the High Gloss Silver finish -

ND RZ integrated harness bar
To run the shoulder harnesses to the bar, all you need to do is just to slot the plastic trim piece

Moti knocked it out of the park with both the RZ and GT3. Both ends of the spectrum covered for ND owners within 2 months of cars hitting our shores. Other roll bar businesses can just go home at this point.

Hmmm, now I need to go sit in one and see if that would let me pass the broomstick test. It should, I'm only 5'8"

Z31, I'm 5'8" as well and can pass broomstick on stock seat, but from my experience fitment is more about the ratio of leg / torso / weight than total height.

We took a couple pics with Emilio's phone yesterday of both my 5'8" and his 7'13" in the car with the GT3 and the racing seat with the custom lowered seat mount we built for the car...
Maybe Emilio can post them, mine is almost comical.
I have almost 6" of broomstick clearance and barely able to see the hood at all..

Emilio posted a few pages back that he has no intentions of showing off pre-production models. He's working with more than a few other shops in concert, but he has some real world experience with people ripping him off.

Why does that car not have 6ULs on it?

Looks awesome.

No need to mount race tires to fab a roll bar, vinyl wrap, dyno tune, corner weight, etc, etc. We're scrambling to get the car ready for MRLS. In that pic the car has no brake pads or rotors..

Broomstick clearance pics with the ND GT3 roll bar and a prototype lowered seat mount we built in Emilio's car.

About 3.5-4" of clearance w/o helmet

almost 6" of clearance w/o helmet, I'll need a cushion to see where I'm going
