I am looking to find out what tein s.techs will look like with my wide, super low offset wheels. I bought the Sportmax 002's because I kinda dig the old school look they bring. Nobody around here has a miata, let alone a miata rocking these rims. I was told on clubroadster that the tein s.techs will look like crap with these wheels, I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to post up a pic of a miata running 15x8 +0's with tein s.techs.

not a fan of club roadster. the people on there all run identical setups... they all seem like clones to me! haha. thanks for responding though, if i had any respect for the opinions of people on CR i'd totally do that.

Listen man, I have sportmax 002's in the 16x8 on my car and I really do love how they look. But they preform like ****! Anytime the car gets into to boost and the rear dips down forget about it. The tires rub and smoke like a ************ and ruin the drive.

Alot of people with the wide/low offset wheels either cut/roll their fenders, and/or have to run crazy camber to get them to work. Maybe the 15's will fit a little better, but not by much.

I am getting rid of mine and going with a nice regular offset wheel so I can enjoy the car under boost again. 1 year without driving the car like I should because of these wheels....is not worth it.

your first response was the best advice you'll get. I'm certain .02% of the members here may have Tein S springs and 0 offset wheels. I'm sure <2% of us even 0 offset wheelzzzzzzz. And if they are running 15x8s they certainly aren't running no thin dicked 195s.

If I roll the fenders I guess I can put much larger tires on. I already bought the 195's because I was told by the people I purchased the rims from that thats the size that will fit the rim and still go on the miata with no rubbing. I guess I have to find a way to exchange these tires for bigger. Should 205/50's do the job and eliminate the lip of the rim hanging out? I like the stretched look, I realize that the 195's look like **** because of the lip hanging out.

 

195s on the correct width rim. 225s on 8" rims

 

205s will still be stretched on an 8" rim.
(note, these are fairly wide 205s too...)
