I guess I have to find a way to exchange these tires for bigger. Should 205/50's do the job and eliminate the lip of the rim hanging out? I like the stretched look, I realize that the 195's look like **** because of the lip hanging out.
How much power will you be making? With 0 offset you'd be lucky to run more then a 205 ever. Most power hungry people ultimately will run the 225, which you will probably never fit on those wheels without crazy body cutting.

Either way, your car will be ghey enough for hustler to man-love you all day long.

I just don't think the tires are the real problem here. With 15x8 0 offset, there's simply no way you're going to fit a decent piece of rubber in there, with anything resembling normal suspension travel, absent rubbing.

It sounds to me like you're after aesthetics rather than performance here. If that's the case, then I'm sorry dude but you are really on the wrong forum. Around here, we tend to actually care how the car drives and handles somewhat more than how it looks sitting still next to three dozen Hondas in the parking lot of Denny's on Friday night. And to that end, we tend to be pretty hostile towards people who try to come in and *** up the place. There's a reason for this: MiataTurbo is our safe haven away from bullshit- we don't like ricers, we don't want them here, and if hurting their feelings (or just banning them) is what it takes to make them go away, then so be it. This isn't a democracy, and we really don't give a **** about people whose opinions differ from ours in this regard.

You will find much more sympathetic ears, and more "productive" conversation (insofar as the goal of running 15x8 zeros simply for the sake of doing so) at clubroadster.net. Failing that, a lot of the weenies do still frequent miata.net, and the mods there will prevent anyone from hurting your feelings.

edit: Looks like he won't be reading this after all.

eloquently put, joe.

honestly, if you're after performance, you're in the right place. but you're also looking at the wrong rim/tire combo.

you have your answer already, +0 offset rims will only allow you to run a tiny tire. it is what it is.

Its kind of like Arab pride killings. We're not above murdering the people who embarrass or bring down the pedigree. Its seperate but equal. You get club roadster and miata.net, we get the performance oriented crew with a thick skin and lots of test.

195's on 8" 0 offset. Why don't you ask about installing your xbox in the dash. How about a 5000 amp stereo with 42 speakers? Forget the Teins, put in hydraulics! Adjustable ride height is where it's at.

Like Joe said. This isn't the place for advice on ricer bling. You want advice on something that performs properly this is the place. No love or patience here for foolishness.

Why put 225s when you could just rock some 185s? I thought the whole idea was less grip and more figure skating??

Are you totally sure that's a 8" wheel? I've seen a lot of 8" wheels with 205s, and none of them looked as stretched as that. In fact, I've seen that exact tire on an 8" wheel and it didn't look that stretched. That looks like a 9" wheel to me.
