IMO the only real problems with taking the bracing out on street cars are; loosing the stock hood latch, and loosing the little hole that the hood prop goes in. You can easily avoid the bracing for the hood latch.
"losing" - to not win, to misplace, to remove Sorry Leafy, just being a "grammar nazi" here since this misspelling is my #1 "pet peeve" ever since I was spammed by a marketer trying to sell me a product that would make me "LOOSE WEIGHT NOW!!!". Why would I want "LOOSE WEIGHT"? Isn't that the stuff that hangs over your belt? Who wants that? Here's some others too: 10 Words You Need to Stop Misspelling - The Oatmeal To get over this, I usually think of this cartoon: https://koshersamurai.files.wordpres...nuts.jpg?w=500 |

Finished out the final design and submitted that to the waterjetter. Pretty excited about it. Material is being ordered and should have the final version before the weekend. Then it's the final install in hood, repeat pressure testing to confirm everything rocks, and open the group buy :)

Well, this went all to shit.
Ryan, I'm sorry I shot my mouth off about this. Dude is obviously not interested in selling parts, only in bitching about not selling parts. |

You guys kill me. This guy (Shane) obviously had an interesting and original design. It wasn't a game changer, but it WAS different. Shane says, "Hey, these were my idea. How about you guys respect my intellectual property," and even offers to do them for CHEAPER by cutting out the manufacturing mark up, and you guys bash HIM?!

His (Shane's) design is original. Ryan's is a blatant, shameless knockoff. Ryan is taking money out of Shane's pocket.

hood vents, wing risers, hard top, and a splitter and my aero should be just about finished.

It could be worse though. A school in Melbourne highlights its language expertise by including the word "Grammer" in its title. Yes, my use of a singular subject with a plural verb were delibert. |
Posted a poll about gurney flap material, if you have serious interest in buying the hood louvers when they are released, please give us your input!

I'm interested in a set for NA. Personally not interested in carbon fiber.

Right on, make sure you vote then. We're going with the consensus of the tribe.

I'm not a carbon queen, but $15 is peanuts. Do you have a mock drawing of what you're thinking? It'd be a lot easier to picture if we had pictures. :P
If it's small, low profile, something you'd have to look hard at to see that they're carbon, I'd go for it. But if they're large and showy I'd just as soon go aluminum 'cause they're getting painted (or ano'd). Edit: This much carbon = blech https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1407385342 This much carbon = aww yiss https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1407385342 |

lets not get distracted here... hood vents.. hoood vents..

Repeat after me, "NB hood vents are my first priority"...

These will be aluminum.
