NB to NA Interior Conversion, Airbag Warning Light Always On....?
Got a 1997 with an NB1 interior, besides the fact that it was quite a bit more work then expected, it also has caused an airbag warning light to flash, I think it was 7 or 8 times and indicated a passenger airbag issue.
I assumed I forgot to plug in the passenger occupancy sensor wires. Pulled the seat and found the white plug beneath the carpet, I think it had 4 or so wires in it, but no corresponding plug on the seat belt connector.
Since the NB had the on/off switch within the tombstone, do I have to wire something up to trick the NB airbags to work with the NA? I read somewhere that resistors are often used, but it seems only to trick the airbag light. That would be fine with me, assuming that the air bags are also functional...potentially, I know, no one knows for sure.
Anyone run into this? Thanks for the help.

There is no passenger occupancy sensor in an NA, you found the head rest speaker plug. I’m assuming you removed the entirety of the NA dash harness onto the NB dash bar, if so, there’s a big possibility the NB pass airbag is not compatible with whatever resistance checks the NA airbag computer performs
theres also a good possibility the 25 year old explosive device has indeed gone sour.
