I'm planning a trip from El Paso to the East coast with a family member's NC. They are not car people and I want the have the car checked over well before flying out there and picking it up. Any recommendations?

What, specifically, are you concerned about with the car?

 

Make sure the oil is changed, and tires are inflated, and there is coolant in it. Other then that send it.

I drove my 250k miles 06 NC from SC to Iowa this past spring for a 2.5 swap. Made it there and back fine.

 

Thx guys - I don't expect probs but the car has been sitting f a while and owner knows zip about cars. Since I haven't seen the car I'd like a reputable shop to give it a major check before taking off across country on marathon road trip. Last one I did was about 10 years ago Aiken SC to Houston in a 71 911E, but that was my car, and I knew it inside out.

No shops but I've got a buddy that I trust that could possibly take a look at it - he's on the East side.
