reddroptop 07-05-2008 09:22 PM

ACT, You already went with a garbage clutch once, why do the same shit over again?

yep. has held perfect from day one. holds 14psi flat shifts no problem. but my TO came apart a week or so after i installed it. replaced it with a all metal one and has been nothing but great, and its CHEAP!!!!

urgaynknowit 07-05-2008 09:42 PM

yea, my ebay throw out went in about 3 months, how long have u had this clutch in your car?

cardriverx 07-05-2008 09:50 PM

Ive used a very similar clutch to the xtd (F1 racing) 6 puck. Worked great goin on like 5 months, holds 14 psi with launches and flatshifts.

Man its not a huge difference, just get an ACT.

Peace of mind is worth a lot more than money.

Maybe thats a statement based on situation, but when it comes to relatively integral parts of a setup that can pass or fail based purely on design & materials, I would rather pay more money.

bryantaylor 07-05-2008 11:04 PM

its just ceramic and steel. it either works or it doesn't . me and other people have show the ebay clutches work great.

mike_671 07-05-2008 11:08 PM

189 at 10psi? Thought it would be better. Well then again theres no tune right? You just have the 305cc with a MBC. Plus your timing is at 8* right?

Eric.w313 07-05-2008 11:20 PM

i need clutch too.

cardriverx 07-05-2008 11:27 PM

They are the same freaking thing, the only iffy qualty part about the xtr kit is the throwout bearing. The disc and PP WILL work for a long time and will preform good. So why should I pay double?

get a 1.8 flywheel and 1.8 clutch.

ACT HD. It is holding my friends 271 rwhp miata. And its as light as a feather. I was actually shocked that it held.

QFMFT!

I myself have the ACT XT and regret not going with the HD.

Done. Holding on my car at 14psi. Only thing is that it's essentially a stock pressure plate, I'd prefer a slightly stiffer pedal feel but I'm not gonna complain for $157 shipped.

Of course, I haven't had it on very long, but I am known to drop clutch often and not be very nice.

Braineack 07-06-2008 12:11 PM

where's the dyno plot?

Dhaark 07-06-2008 02:11 PM

If you call me I can get you a clutch that will not come apart... 248-730-5261
Do you have a 1.6 or a 1.8 flywheel?

Vashthestampede 07-06-2008 02:32 PM

4 years on my ACT xtreme. I highly recommended ACT.
