---starting a new thread because it's appropriate.
I changed out my alternator thinking that it was fucked. I was wrong. It's not.
Here's what's going on:
-My battery is fine and healthy- 12v measured at the terminals
-At the alternator I see about the same- 11v or so
-In the hydra readout (should be the same for any ECU) I see about 11
-When I start it up, voltage drops down to around 10.8. If I turn the lights on, it drops immediately to about 10.4.
-changing the "gain" in the voltage regulation map doesn't do ****.
This **** used to work.
Any ideas of what to check now?
I am not sure where the alternator control wires end up. I can only see them ending up in the big fat harness at the transmission tunnel entrance.

There is a single wire that goes to your alternator and one that goes to your oil pressure sensor (at least on the 97s)... it could be either one of those. Or was it to the starter... I can't remember.
What year do you have?

NB alternator has 3 wires, two of them in a plug that goes back to the hydra/something, and one is the battery cable, that plug probably goes to the Oil pressure gauge.
edit I meant alternator

**** ME IN BOTH EARS AND CALL ME SANTA I UNFUCKED IT
Thoise two wires do just go to hydra and I didnt change **** regarding hydra except for the map. So I figured **** you map you're fucked.
And it was the map. Jeremy must have sent me a new map for a self-regulating alternator. The input for the alternator map was set to TPS, not voltage.
Suck a ****! It works! ***** on your face! All hail the king baby!

What's funny is that the factory oil pressure gauge arm still swings to twelve noon whenever I start the car just as it did when it was plugged in ha ha. BTW the NB oil pressure gauge is a dummy gauge out of the box.

I wouldn't complain if it didn't interfere with my browsing at work
Kinda awkward when your boss walks up to you and one of the tabs in the browser says "**** IN MY *** FELLATIO HOMOFUCK ---- PROBE"

Mine is set up as aux1 being input follower and Aux2 is input follower feedback
VE autotune? My **** was setup by FM, but I have changed a few things around, nothing special though.
