to be honest it was 6 years ago, my uncle has one sitting in his garage waiting to be installed and hooked up to a 75 shot NoS. He raced it at 1 Lap Of America on the zo engine and places 13th overall and 1st in his class! wanted to race again with the ze and zo3 cams but built an SRT-4 and was in 4th overall until he put it in the wall....

PS. if the coolant re-route brings down engine temp enough... LOOK FOR MY MIATA IN ONE LAP OF AMERICA THIS YEAR!!! I MIGHT BE SECOND DRIVER!

come on now. don't give the guy too much of a hard time. All he needs is a coolant reroute, a JDM engine to bolt up to his JDM tranny, and some APC synchros to throw in there, and it should be golden.

should have went and found one on here,
from someone who knows it works(and speaks English)
ebay is not good source for parts

For those that want a quick summary, it goes something like this.

1fagmiata: Yo I just picked up a mad tyte jdm 5spd miata transmission to handlez the mad torqz my miata makes(takes plastic wrap off transmission that was overnighted from japan)(inserts shift lever in *******). I don't think the transmission has synchros. **** now I can't install my ebay std clutch.

My point stands that you keep mentioning these relatives of yours that sound like they have a fair bit of mechanical knowledge. Do you ask THEM these questions first? Find me a modern transmission in a mass produced automobile that doesn't have syncro's and I'll give you a cookie.

i asked my father and he wasnt sure because its jdm... that was my question and i thought my fear was confirmed when i asked the ebay seller.
