Huh? PPF are so weak that even the naturally aspirated CSP autocrossers break those for breakfast. The diff ears and halfshafts too
Since less than 200 whp car breaks those - should be an easy job for a turbo Miata.

I don't talk to enough autocrossers, I guess. First I've heard of the PPFs breaking other than Monster Mike here. Got a link to any info so I can see what's happening?

We can only think of 4 of the new FM manifolds that have cracked out of several hundred. They must all be on this forum!

So far my kill list is one BEGI/FM mani and one new(er) FM manifold

I rule. I mean, it would be one thing if I was neglecting the car or doing something VERY wrong... but i'm not your average emmnetter who has no clue as to what is going on. Like this guy who came to my friends shop because his M3 was making funny noises. Turned out to be a broken engine mount. So my friend replaces it. The guy who owned the car is like "I don't know what happened. I took a friend for a drive last night and BAM! the car just started acting funny". Well, said dipshit goes for a test drive to make sure everything is OK and immidately drops 1st gear and does a slam powershift right into 2nd gear....and wonders why the engine mount was destroyed. Idiot.

Keith, I just got off the phone with Brandon. I want to thank you guys very much for taking care of this for me...awesome job

I'm thinking about making a trophy out of the newly cracked one....seriously.

FYI, almost every instance of a broken PPF is due to some form of trying to customize/alter the PPF, it's just that once someone tries to 'improve' it, and then it breaks, they don't want to admit that they created the problem and therefore don't mention the customization. They just say the PPF broke. The original PPF however, is very strong. Not the case 100% of the time, but nearly always.
