i compared a Audi s4 2.7l with twin 2860s and it hits full boost at about 4-4500rpm. And being able to rev to 9k rpm I’ll have plenty of power band

I have boost from maybe 3500 up, but when I usually drive the car the rpms are below that. So it feels lazy just cruising around.

Just depends on what you're going for.

I haven't had the ***** to rev mine high. My limit's set to 8000 (cause I'm scared of the mustang clutch) and I've never hit it.

Reasonable rev limits are good for people with feet.

Car is being built for 1/4 mile and road racing in mind so some lazier spool time is fine by me. It will spend most of its life above 4000rpm. Also have plans to add a small nitrous shot help spool the turbos on the track. But unsure on that still. Still gotta figure out the rx7 t2 trans adapting. My adaptor plate mates an rx7 bellhousing that bolts to the Miata 5 speed. So I’m hoping it will bolt right in. I have another block sitting here to get sleeved/forged etc.

im so anxious to get this started finally it’s been years since I’ve done anything to the car.

if you have klde valve springs 8k is basically the maximum you want to see. If you have updated springs like I do this. 9k is fine. But not beneficial without heavy port work and cams. I have the tri flow colt turbo cams In mine as well. If there is no power over 8k I’ll drop the limiter down

there springs are updated springs. I have theirs as well. You will probably run out of breath around 6000-6500 with the stock cams. They dont have enough lift on the kl01 cams to breathe that high
