Here are pics of a few spec miata's I liked. Buff out your original red and add the other colors. The yellow and blue car would look great with your red, black and silver. The black and red car would look better if the red continued down the hood to the bumper line just past the turn signals.

 

I'm not sure if you can tell by the pictures buy the car has been repainted in spots and its now flaking off. Just for the hell of it I buffed the original paint and its no longer pink but it has lots of small chips and looks like its trying to come off. I wish I could describe it better.

 

$40 paint job aussie driver style. Who cares what color, make it crazy and striped. Then sand your trunk down and coat it with battery acid so it rusts faster. Then remove your rear finish panel and put a big miataturbo.net sticker on the hood at an angle.

How does the rest of the budget look so far, worry about paint last?

 

I was going to worry about paint last but the engine is out so now would be the best time to paint it. So far I have $1356.00 left in the budget and I have not sold anything off the car yet.

 

I will be repainting my black OTM miata in a month or so with the "$40" paintjob thingie. Only thing is that it cost me 80 for 3 pints of the stuff (black, ya i do wanna sell it someday) after shipping. Ill post to show how it goes whenever I do it.
