Default Parallel Fan Wiring

When you snip the wire on the A/C fan side, Hakuna's site says "Do NOT re-hook up the original secondary fan's hot wire. It goes to ground when the AC is off and will short out your fuse." I was a little confused as to whether I just leave it or run it to ground. I have a small wire leading to a ground on it now and my fans are running as they should, but I wanna make sure before I blow a fuse and get stuck in traffic with no fans.

snip the +12v, splice it to the main fan's +12v, the end.
