You can probably go forward, yes. I wanted it behind the radiator, and in front of the valve cover. I'd have to look, but I don't think mine can go further back, but could probably go further forward.

thanks for your reply. If you would so kindly look and let me know how far from the front of the hood I could safely go I’d appreciate it. I also want mine behind the radiator for sure.

Click on the grey cat at the bottom right of his post. Black cat is negative; don't do that.

Well thanks all for the help, especially Curly. 👍🏽 I got mine installed this evening. I placed it at 10.5” instead of 12 as Curly did. I’ll see how it goes tomorrow in the heat. Few pics, but I’ll take better tomorrow.
