wow i had this idea a year or two ago but never put it to the test thought that people would think i was crazy, also didnt have a car to test it on. i explained to my friend that we shoud have do it to his Supra but he wouldnt he punched me in the gut, and said YOU STUPID RICER!! So i said what ever!

They seal at idle, IAC's or similar take care of idle air.

It seals excellent. I plugged the IACV feed holes (dunno what else to call 'em) with JBWeld and let it cure overnight before I installed it.

What about the fuel air ratio's. Does this not change things drastically when you drive it open?
Or is it ok? My ratio's changed when I finnally got my exhaust hooked up right. (instead of dangling under the car to the muffler shop) But mine was loose at the dp instead of after a resonator. That is sweet!!!!!! |

I have this at the end of my downpipe....
YouTube - Mazda Miata Turbo with Exhaust ByPass Valve I've modded it since then to give more clearance. Nice and neat with a little switch for open/close. |
