Primer3D doorcard spacers for OEM doorclips
I'm a big fan of Revlimiter's NA, it just looks like "Pure 70's ****" IMO.
I finally decided to upgrade my MSM's doorcards using Primer3D's door panels and topped them off with cut-down NB8B/C doorcards (I filled the gaps with spray foam and re-clad them in leather-look vinyl):
One "problem" with the Primer3D door panels is that the bottom 3x OEM doorclips and the lower one at the front no longer fit because they're too short since the NB doors have lots of curves in them.
I tried making one-piece doorclip replacements using a 3D printer but the flexible tip that inserts into the door's slot would always break after 2 or 3 insert/remove cycles.
This may have worked if I'd used nylon filament but I haven't had much success with that (even on a Prusa Mk3S) and PETG, PLA and ABS are just far too brittle by the time you get the tip flexible enough to slot and hold into the door slot.
My final solution was to make different sized spacers that the OEM doorclip bases can slot into - the OEM doorclips are made of nylon so the tip wont break!
These hold really well. When you remove the doorcard, the OEM doorclip will either pull out of the door OR out of the spacer without damaging it so it can be re-used.
Here's where I used these spacers:
Note: I didn't even try and use a spacer or doorclip in the un-circled doorclip slot above the speaker since the cladding around the speaker holds the panel firmly in place.
FYI: The tape on the rear of the doorcards was used to initially locate where I needed to drill for the door pull (I inserted pop-rivets in reverse into the nylon screw holders, temp-fitted the doorcard and pushed hard so that the pop-rivets cut through the tape to mark the drill points).
I made these available at Thingiverse if anyone wants them: Doorcard spacers (they SHOULD work with NAs too).
