This is just like poking a rabid dog in the eye with a stick and being surprised when he eats you. Give me a break, no matter how bad *** your motorcycle makes you feel you can't deny the laws of physics.

+1 for Darwin.

+1. I almost get run over as a pedestrian daily but I don't chase the cars down. And for the most part the motorcycle drivers in my area are dicks. They pick and choose which traffic laws to obey, cut between cars and lanes or around stopped traffic crossing the double yellow line all the time. So, I'm a car driver and frankly it pissed me off when they do that stuff. My point is it goes both ways. Just because you're dumb enough to get on a bike without a helmet doesn't mean you get special treatment from other motorists. Everyone gets cutoff all the time, drive defensively and it happens less.

+1 on darwin awards as well...

motorcycle guys can say whatever the **** they want, if you are trying to kick and hit a car WHILE driving also WITHOUT a helmet, W T F do you expect to happen?

sure people drive stupid most of the time, does that give you an excuse to hit their car? NO. While ive never cut off any bikers (the ******* around here ride so ******* crazy most of the time you dont even get a good look at them), if I ever cut anyone off and they honk or something, I usually wave or do something to let them know that im sorry, and I acknowledged what I did wrong. If some ******* **** would pull up to me on a motorcycle and try to hit my car, I would run his stupid *** the **** over, I make sure stupid ************ was severely injured. ******* ********
oh and carrying a weapon is only cool until u come up on someone with a bigger one or lots of them, or a friend in the passenger seat with one. then you will either get shot back, killed, or it will turn into a bloody shootout with either death or prison in the future. good luck with that

Around here the Harley style bikes are ok. Loud and annoying, but they pay attention. The crotch rockets are terrible. Just the other day 2 of them were riding in the center lane behind me on the freeway. They wanted to go around and they split and one passed on each side of me. They made sure to rev up to 500,000,000,000 rpm and go full throttle right when they got next to my window. REALLY loud. I was going 80 already and they had to get up to at least 100 before they slowed down.

In short, I hate bike riders in this area ALOT. It doesn't surprise me something like this happened. Also they have really bright headlights which makes them easy to spot. I have never cut off a bike, they are usually loud and bright.

I cant understand how anyone would defend the biker in this case. It clearly states "They chased the Miata through a nearby neighborhood". Not to mention he was also out with his son. So first he was a bad influence on his son and now he left his son without a father. All for what? I dont care who you are or what your driving, road rage never ends well for anyone. As for people with sport bikes. I know not all are bad riders but unfortnately you all have a bad rap. Its like Pit bulls, everyone thinks there viscous dogs, but in reality in the right hands they can be the best family dog. A sport bike in the right hands can be alot of fun in a safe way. Everyday on 95 in Fort Lauderdale I see 3-4 bikers and there always riding in the HOV lane and swirving from lane to lane. They tail gate every chance they get and there always passing between cars.

+2. If you can't deal with the occasional close call from an oblivious soccermom, don't ride a bike.

And no helmet on a bike is stupid too.

Driving a miata, I look out for myself. 90% of all the cars on the road are bigger than me. I haven't tried to kick anyone yet. for that matter, it's hard to kick a 2000+ lb hunk of metal and win. something about, with every reaction....

I don't see anywhere in the article where it says the miata cut them off and the motorocyclists decided to strike back like half the readers are assuming. I know drivers of cars are idiots and they don't look out for bikes, but its equally stupid to not wear a helmet and do the things they do.

Bryan I agree with you when you say people are bad around bikes, but it never said who instigated the situation....

Yeah looking back at the article, it just says they "became involved in an altercation", but IMO that probably means the Miata cut off the bike or involuntarily instigated the situation in some way.

I've nearly been run off the road by oblivious drivers (in my Miata), that's why I'm glad it's still a little on the loud side, after all "loud pipes save lives".

Well boys, I'm on both sides of the fence. First off I don't ever believe the media tells the whole story.
Anyone who rides a motorcycle without a helmet is stupid. The ride is quieter and you can go faster when you can see.
I have been pissed by bikes cutting me off. I have also jumped off my bike to jack someone up for trying to open a door on me in traffic. If somone is a stupid PUNK that wants to act like the POLICE, they're not so they need to mind their on buisness. My friend kicked a huge dent in their new suv fender. And they just stayed in scared. They thought they were bad until someone called them on it.

There are idiots on both sides. Some people have a vendetta for motorcycles. And some for cars.
I think there is more to this story, They never said what happened. That guy may of tried to give a lecture or flipped them off.

On a different note. I've almost ran over a motorcycle before that was messing with me.

I know some people that throw out lug nuts from their pockets onto some idiots windshield and blast away. Try to follow a bike at 180 mph. Or they follow them to their house. They hate that.

Point is, no matter if your in a car or on a bike. If a dick pulls up beside you, a confrontation will manifest. And it is always the other guys fault.

It's like dogs and cats. Some play well together, and many don't.

(Oh yea, I have stopped my road rage. YAY!) ( Yay is a special gift from "Special ED" on crank yankers.)

My brother in law in an avid rider. Always has been, both on sportbikes(currently) and Harleys. He doesnt ride like an *******, weaving in and out of traffic, riding down the middle line to get to the front at a stop light, or doing mach 9 down the interstate with someone riding bitch. Some of the stupid **** that happens to riders is because they are irresponsible, some not. Take this story for what it is, sad that he is dead, but he apparently wasn't too smart to begin with.

**** that guy, if he had done that to me, it wouldn't have been falling off the bike, it would have been a 9mm hollow point wound that killed him. Start trying to run me off the road and **** with me, I start shooting. This is Texas, they are down with shooting first and asking questions later.

Wait, way are you retards getting your panties in a wad here? Geee.... fucktards on bikes clearly CHASE a car down and try to assualt it and end up getting what they deserve for bine immature piles of grabastic ****. I have no sympathy for people like this, nor the ones who run from the police on bikes and end up offing themselves. **** those people... we didnt need them here anyway.

Now, idiots in cars not paying attention deserve the same respect.... none. But getting all pissed off because they got what was coming to them is stupid.

This kinda reminds me of some guy here, who ran from the cops and went off the road at 160mph with his GF on the back. Retards. Well, it so happened that one of their friends posts on a forums here and they were all like "Hey we need to pray for so-and-so and his GF who were killed on their bike this week". So someone posts that they were running from the cops and got what was coming..... this person ended up getting banned and their post was deleted. I don't want to hear the whole cry-me-a-river bullshit 'let's pray' when someone was clearly acting like a fuckup and paid for it. Not to mention the people that got killed had just posted videos of them riding wheelies through downtown Atlanta wearing t-shirts and shorts, no gloves.

yeah i watched a 280+ pound man on a crotch rocket driving down a commercial shopping center road pull a wheelie and have to set it down early cuz it sucked.....while his helmet was attached to the back of the bike. I wished him to crash.

As for you bikers complaining about ****, all you need to do is carry a crowbar Road Rash for sega genisis style and your good.

+1 for darwin, people who don't wear helmets on bikes (even pedaly ones) deserve what they get. I was pissed about a month ago when some bikers advocacy group was trying to repeal the helmet law here in Michigan.

To that extent, I've ridden bikes for a while and almost been killed by negligent drivers. I never retaliated though. All I have to say to the crazy pro bike guys here is: If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen and quit your bitch'n. I understand being angry but honestly if you don't understand what you're getting into when you take a bike on the road you need to stop and do some thinking before you do.
