Rear Mount Turbo: Kurt Rohmer
I was minding my own business today reading forum posts, and stumbled upon the famous kurt rohmers dyno numbers.
Nutmeg Miata Club Dyno Day..June 6 - ClubRoadster.net
"1st pull was aborted because of a really bad A/F ratio...after a tweak of the laptop his did another...and got about 145hp...then Chris started giving him a couple of tips on where to change the fuel map and he laid down 170hp and 145 lb/ft at 15lb of boost...and the best thing was that it did not blow up!!... he did push out a little bit of coolant from the overflow but it was only about a pint...after the 3rd pull."
Looks like rear mount > us all.

15psi for 170 hp? On a decent system 15 psi should be good for another 50-60hp. On a good system another 60-100hp. I too was wishing him well. I have no problem with people trying what seems to be goofy. Sometimes good comes of it. I bet the first guy spraying water mist in his intake was laughed at too.
