Repurpose Old Glass Window
I recently stepped in to another Miata, this time an NB with glass rear window. I've ordered a new Robbins top since the original is trashed. It seems a shame to just throw the window glass away. What do you guys do with your old windows? I've seen a couple for sale on ebay, but I can't think of any reason someone would buy one.
Coffee table?
Sew it in to an SUV hatch tent? (could still use the defrost!)
Or am I just being too much of a hippie/pack rat and I should just throw the darn thing away?

Do you own a sandblaster? Vinyl decals with words/pictures/logos are great for masking to do etching on glass. Use hardware store door molding to make a cheap frame. Make it smaller than the outside dimensions of the glass and affix it to the front of the glass with a good epoxy. Optional: Paint the backside of the glass with spray or brush. Optional, optional: Use two or more shades of paint and muddle, dab, drag, or swirl them for additional effects.
This also works on old picture frame glass.

Edit: So now we have an arts and crafts discussion running concurrently with one on hair care products and one on cats. Good job, gals.

Well, there you go.
If anyone else has clever ideas post them up. I'm sure there are a ton of people staring at their old panes of glass and not wanting to throw them away.
Heated food/beverage tray utilizing the defrost perhaps? Probably a good way to explode the window though....
