because more downforce in the rear is the obvious solution to your already pushing front ;)

Regardless, I dig the wing. There's a right way to do things and a wrong way and your way is all good.

making it taller in cleaner air. he can dial in more positive angle. thus getting same downforce with less drag. always a good thing.

don't forget he will be adding splitter also.

Yep. My roommate's birchwood splitter came out very nicely on his Vette. I will be duplicating the idea.

How's rear visibility with the wing? Not a concern for time trials but certainly for HPDE it could be. Particularly if you run in big boy classes with Z06's, GT3's,etc. where you aren't the fastest car on the track.

Savington 01-31-2009 07:12 PM

I'll admit, it's rough. The wing now sits directly at the top of the hardtop window, which means that my visibility through the rearview mirror is pretty stunted. It's rarely an issue for me, since I don't get passed a lot (and I run in groups that have open passing rules), but for someone who gets passed in their group it would be hard. It's nothing you can't overcome with an adjustment of the driver's side mirror, but it does reduce visibility.

bellwilliam 02-01-2009 01:29 AM

make it even taller, u won't have any issue with rear visibility :eek5:

Gotta get that front done to balance that out.

One thing I've been thinking about with your work on the car. That hole in the front fascia and the tsi's can't be helping with front end lift. I know you need the flow for cooling but there has to be a more aero friendly way. Just another project to think about like you don't have enough going already!

Efini~FC3S 02-07-2009 03:16 PM

I tape my TSI's off at the track, hoping it forces more air through the ic and the rad.
