Break out the sawzall and sledge hammer, resurface it yourself! What could possible go wrong?

Let me ask you this, was it time consuming and a pain the *** to remove the clutch? If you enjoyed the experience don't resurface, as you'll likely be doing it again soon. If you didn't enjoy it, resurface.

Actually it was a very pleasant experience since I pulled the engine with the tranny attached

I bet everyone who had problems when the didn't resurface also put in a new disc.

I'm putting a different disc in. The old one was an organic disc and the new one is a sprung 6 puck.

BTW I found a promising machine shop right by BWI airport.

Welcome to Jackson Auto Machine

I'm going to take the pp and disc to them to see if they can do it. Will also have them resurface my exhaust manifold flanges and the turbo flange, see their prices for a non PVC catch can, and some miscellaneous lines. I checked out their shop last week and they seem pretty good. LS, small and big block, and import engines were all in their shop. They also have an engine dyno. Prices for what I asked about were very good for our expensive area.
