Default Sleeper

We picked up a 98 Lincoln Mark 8 for my little brother. WHoooo! That thing will move..................

It will break sideways with the traction control off in second. They came with the cobra motors but with a little different cams. Which means more power where you want it (mid range) for an auto.

What do old people need with power like that. The old woman we bought it from, I don't think she ever really got on it. She said it will run. And idled everywhere she went.

My little brother gets in it and lays rubber all down the road.

Someone took it for a joy ride, messed the front bumper and headlight up. The police found the car. She knocked on our door and asked us if we where still intrested. Bam we bought it. One owner, clean, 80,000 miles.

We are going to get a new bumper and headlights, cobra rims, exhaust, and repaint it. We may even install lowering springs. It will eat a gt up on the highway.

That thing would cruise 120 all day long, and never make you tired.

Mark VIII's were awesome cars.

Wait until the rear bags and/or compressor die on you.

yES, Be ware of the Air ride... Its not worth putting $$ into repair, when you can buy spring kits and replace air with conventional springs.

also be prepared to search for a replacement Headlight (exp if it has HID)

Ford stopped making Headlights, and HID bulbs, Modules etc. ( i worked for a FLM dealer and we got hit with MAD customers not able to get parts to make a headlight work and pass state inspection) things might have changed over the past year, but i doubt. Ford constantly discontinues parts over 10 years old.

Nice buy tho. Had a buddy that had one too, just like you said Cobra Motor, Sleeper chassis, Comfortable as ****.

Yea, it lowers when you turn it off. I think that started after the joy ride.

We will just replace it with lowering springs and shocks/struts.

I'll see if he can get some pictures.
